Read the rules of the server. And casual is not server based on war. Siege is based on war. Casual has more players online, siege has more wars. (Hope that helps <3)

I would advise you to just discover the lore of countries and ask to people in game, it's funnier ^-^

Use potatoes to get money. You can't buy them but you can find them in the wilderness. If you cant find some, I'm sure there are people who are willing to give some to you.

Make sure your valuables (Elytra, diamonds, etc) are kept in your territory.
