does anybody think smpe would be more fun with technology

ive been watching some of those modpack videos and I wonder what smpe would be like with technology and a bigger variety of (rare) reasources because it would give people a reason to actully fight ( like mabye adding a feature where certain chunks can be captured due to naturally spawning reasources or smth)

Would cause too much lag, there used to be cars, planes boats and stuff but it was too laggy. Tanks would be cool.
Lag is the main problem
