Denied add The Nether

The Nether is an important part of minecraft not present in smp earth so i want it to be added as it would open new ways of obtaining rescores and plus it would just make sense as i have been in servers similar to this one and they have the nether
there is also the issue of ancient debris which are rare id recomend once making the nether to lower the price of them

There is really no need for the nether since shops sell the nether stuff.

You can use /warp Crucible as an alternative for mob grinding. Or volcano

Thanks for your suggestion. However, we have decided to not incorporate the Nether (or the End, for now) into our server for the following reasons:
1. As per what goat and vortex said, you can find nether items at /warp shops, and nether mobs at either /warp crucible or /warp volcano.
2. It doesn’t align with the idea that our server is a representation of Earth (hence SMPEarth). Obviously this isn’t a big deal right now, but previously we had an ARG running on the server that created lore that relied on the fact that our server is “Earth”, and in the (hopefully) near future, we may be creating more lore for the server.

However, that doesn’t mean the idea is impossible. In regards to the End, we’re currently working on the Moon Update, which will introduce end items and some new mechanics, and I remember a suggestion a very long time ago about a similar update in which we introduce the Nether and call it the “Mars Update”.

well thanks for mentioning the mars update as i have never heard of such thing i have heard of the moon update though one thing id like to suggest to the mars update is to include a extremly large volcano/mountain that would be olympus mons
